Missions & Evangelism

BMBC helps thousands of people in need within the congregation through individual and family counseling, academic scholarships, and youth programs; within the community by feeding the homeless, teaching the needy, giving Christmas gifts to children of incarcerated parents, singing in nursing homes and the prison ministry; and beyond by the unofficial adoption of a Boston church and the  building of  homes and schools in Africa.

African Missions

Reverend Stevens travels to East and Central African countries of Tanzania and Burundi annually. In 2007 Rev. Stevens and Pastor Jared Mlongecha, from the International Gospel Church in Boston, Massachusetts, our sister church, held four leadership seminars and more than 800 church leaders attended.

Every year, the day before Thanksgiving, members of the Men’s Fellowship Ministry and their families travel to Boston to dine with the families of the International Gospel Church.

Two weeks before the trip, BMBC members donate money, food, and clothes for the International Gospel Church (IGC) families.  Our sister church also visits BMBC. Pastor Jared preaches and the IGC choir sings in both their language and in English.

Angel Tree Christmas

For more than seven years, the Angel Tree  Christmas Fellowship has provided Christmas gifts for the children of familes incarcerated in the Mid-Hudson Valley. Angel Tree Christmas (ATC) gives our church an opportunity to share Christ's love by helping to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the families of prisoners. Participating in ATC is a powerful way for our church community to lovingly answer the biblical call to minister to the least of these. BMBC makes an annual commitment to this program, and recognizes it as a way to care for some of the most overlooked members of our culture.

Prision Ministry

Our associate ministers and laymen bring the good news to where ever men and women, boys and girls are incarcerated. Our Prison Ministry aims to meet the spiritual needs of inmates through evangelism, discipleship, praise and worship leading them to the bountiful and joyful saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation." Mark 16:15
