On behalf of the Dutchess County Interfaith Council and its Executive Director, Ed Koziol, I'd like to thank you once more for allowing us to hold our annual music festival in the very beautiful Glory To God Sanctuary on Sunday, June 6th.
>From the very beginning, Bethel's officers and staff were on duty and working starting with Goldie at the front door. Even though I had made arrangements so he could 'have the afternoon off', he was at his post greeting people, escorting people to where they needed to be and helping in any way that he could.
Our usher's were on duty and working very hard making sure that all participants were seated in their allocated spaces and then seating the attendees. There weren't quite as many as Linda would have liked, and I couldn't help, so she was doing a lot of running around controlling the organized confusion of this sort of event, but she remained her usual calm, sweet self.
I would have been happy just to have working mikes and I was expecting Bobby to be our sound engineer but ended up with Bobby and Jay who were so professional. They moved mikes around, made sure that the lapel mike was available, had the cd's ready to play and even moved furniture to help set up for the extra equipment of the Hindu group.
Min. Hobson was warm in his welcome and Dea. Joyner's prayer was perfect. I didn't even have to put the pulpit furniture back in position. I looked up and all was magically back where it belonged.
To add to Bethel's participation, Bobby Anderson chipped in to be the drummer where needed. It was much appreciated and he did a great job.
The festival fellowship is always wonderful and holding it at Bethel made it even more special for me. The attendees were amazed and awed at the beautiful our building while I continue to be amazed and awed by the beauty of my church family, their wonderful spirit and their dedication to our church.
Once again THANK YOU and may God continue to hold Bethel in the palm of His hand. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
